Project: The Verge Apartments, Dudden Hill Lane, London
Sector: Mixed use
Client: CorraMore Construction
Value: £40,000
Project background
Design & Build project consisting of 10 high specification apartments and a ground floor commercial unit in Dudden Hill, London.
Project outline
BM Steel Fabrications was appointed by our client CorraMore Construction to supply internal steel fabrications for this prestigious mixed-use development in Dudden Hill, London, close to Wembley Stadium. The apartments are located on a busy street with restricted access, which made lorry access and offloading more challenging. All the glass panels had to be offloaded individually by hand, 38 large panes of glass for both external balconies and the internal stairwell. The glass was 17.5mm thick making each panel very heavy and challenging to handle.
The apartments were high specification and BM Steel Fabrications supplied all handrails, and steelwork for the glass balconies. All products were manufactured, delivered and installed on time and on budget. The developer was very happy with the finished project, and 8 of the apartments were sold before the project completed.
“BM Steel was appointed to undertake bespoke glazed and stainless-steel balustrading to external balconies, and a communal staircase serving 10 high-specification apartments near Wembley, London. From initial design stage, to site measuring and then fitting of the bespoke items on site, Mike and the team completed the work to a high standard and in a timely fashion. I look forward to working with BM Steel Fabrications on future projects”.
