Project background
BM Steel Fabrications was appointed to manufacture and supply the structural steel frame for the new drive-through Costa Coffee in Fortwilliam, Scotland. The project was challenging in that the construction programme was very fast, with only a 14-week window to complete. We had a good relationship with the structural engineers which was vital to make sure that all prefabrication was 100% correct and to ensure that the construction programme did not slip. All work was completed on time and on budget.
Customer testimonial
“With an overall programme of just 14 weeks to handover, communication, design and the approval process was critical. BM Steel dealt directly with the structural engineers on all prefabrication issues to ensure programme was maintained. Once approved, fabrication, delivery and assembly on site was closely co-ordinated with CorraMore and BM Steel to ensure a seamless flow of our programme. Package included, structural steel, galvanised fencing and architectural metalwork”.
